Penguin studies!

The Tracking Magellanic Penguins project at experiment.com successfully reached its goal in 2012. (But I just discovered it). The project site has a way you can in theory get access to their lab notes. And you can of further go crazy with penguin studies at the Penguin Sentinels Project at the University of Washington.
